Session 9-7

Be Bold: How AI Leaders Can Prepare Now for New Legislation

← Back to Agenda

The introduction of the European Commission’s draft Artificial Intelligence Act raises many questions for AI leaders across the globe. Now is the time for CDOs to communicate and position their work with end consumers, employees and regulators in ways that build greater trust.  In this session, MIT’s Julie Shah joins Ali Shah and Denise Zheng of Accenture to discuss implications of the draft AI Act (including Accenture’s global research on the topic), the actions leaders must take to prepare their organizations for the legislation, and new regulatory trends that could emerge as a result. It’s time to be bold and tell our own AI story proactively, demonstrating that AI systems and their benefits far outweigh their risks.
