John Radovan, Deputy Director for Department of the Air Force-MIT AI Accelerator
Major John Radovan is the Deputy Director of the Department of the Air Force – MIT Artificial Intelligence Accelerator. This organization is responsible for delivering AI Technology to the Air Force and Space Force organizations through a partnership with MIT. As the Deputy Director, he leads 3 main efforts: 1) Execute 13 flagship AI projects and related work, 2) Develop scalable AI education, and 3) Lead dialog in AI ethics and safety.
Maj Radovan is prior-enlisted and entered service in 2002 as a meteorologist technician and commissioned through Officer Training School in 2011. He earned a B.S. in Professional Aeronautics from Embry Riddle University and later completed his MBA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 2014.
Prior to this assignment, Maj Radovan spent a year at Amazon Machine Learning University and Amazon Prime Air as part of the Education with Industry Program. A career meteorologist, Maj Radovan also holds a Program Management Level II Certification from Defense Acquisition University. He currently lives in Carlisle, MA with his wife and three children.
